Managing Your Passwords
“In these days of hacks, Heartbleed, and endless breaches, a strong, unique, and often-changed passwords for every site is even more imperative. A password manager can help you attain that goal.”
These days, most internet services require a username and password to access their features. On a slow day — my internet routine includes Ener-Tel’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, my personal Facebook and Twitter accounts, GMail, YouTube, bank accounts, subscription services, and countless other sites that require me to identify myself. It can get frustrating trying to keep all that information straight, and dangerous to have all that information stored somewhere (like a post-it note on your desk.)
Password managers help alleviate this hassle. There are several password managers available for use. Some are free, some are paid services, and each stores and retrieves passwords a little differently. But if your goal is to protect your online identity — a password manager can definitely help you.
