Thirty years ago, Ron Pullen Began his career in the security industry at West Coast Sound, an audio and video company that also took part in the security industry. He later served as general manager at San Angelo Security before becoming general sales manager for Ener-Tel Services in 2011. Ron oversees both the sales and marketing department with the philosophy of leading by example. He uses three words to describe Ener-Tel: “Really smart people.”
Steve Colvin started at Ener-Tel as a project manager and installer. After 29 years of gaining knowledge and experience in all aspects of the company, Steve was promoted to physical assets manager. He oversees the company’s fleet, purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and building necessities. Steve believes Ener-Tel’s most valuable asset is its diversity – from employees to industry products. He says, “If you would like an occupation with diversity, we have occupations in fire alarms, security, building operation systems, and sales. You can learn all you need on site with Ener-Tel. The only thing that can stop you is yourself.”
Born and raised in New York City, Ed Majkowski, who was nicknamed Ski during his military career, has worked for Ener-Tel for 15 years. Prior to Ener-Tel, Ski worked as a project manager for an HVAC controls company in Abilene. Now, as Ener-Tel’s field operations manager, Ski oversees Ener-Tel’s project managers, fire systems testing, commercial and residential installers, software and IT department, and engineering department. When asked what he was most excited for within the next 10 years, Ski pointed to the potential growth of the company. “I want to ensure that when I am done, the people that have done such a tremendous job making Ener-Tel successful have a job and a workplace that they can continue to grow with until they are done,” he said.
Brenda joined the Ener-Tel team as an administrative assistant shortly after its founding in 1984. She later became office manager and worked in customer management before assuming her current role as vice president of administration. Brenda manages the administration department, which includes billing, human resources, and accounts receivable. When asked what she is most excited about for the future, Brenda says, “Growth and expansion while maintaining excellent customer service. This will provide additional opportunities for our current and future employees.”
